Not only is science fun, but it also has many benefits for children with special needs, including:
Increased use of motor skills
Research shows that gross motor skills are typically weaker in children with special needs than in neurotypicals. Our science activities involve hands-on components, such as cutting paper and pouring solutions, that allow our participants to use and improve their motor skills.

Encourages critical thinking
Our unique workshop format allows participants to use their critical thinking skills through activities such as predicting the outcome of an experiment and answering science related questions, all which are essential skills for day to day life!
|
Creativity and collaboration
Not all of our activities have clearly outlined steps, requiring the children to use their creativity while working together with their peers.
